Our team

Our team consist of multilingual (Arabic, English, German, French, Italian) and excellent trained native tour guides who are specialised in several subjects, such as geology, ornithology, nature tourism, geography etc. They all feature capacious experiences in tourism and have extensive knowledge.

Mohammed Al Sulaimani is one of the founders of GJT and expert for geology and geotourism. He obtained his master degree in geology at the University of Bern after completing his bachelor degree in Mining Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. Following his studies he worked for 11 years with Oman’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Also he is partner of Khalid Al Toubi in “Earth Secrets LLC”, now a successfully established geology and exploration consultancy service. He is fluent in Arabic and English. While managing the company, he is the one who is implementing the strategy and quality control for GJT.

Khalid Al Toubi is GJT’s expert for geology and geotourism. He obtained his master degree in geology at the University of Bern after completing his bachelor degree at the University of Cairo. Following his studies he worked for 13 years with Oman’s Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals and Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Two years ago Khalid launched his own company “Earth Secrets LLC”, now a successfully established geology and exploration consultancy service. Khalid also guides scientific tours and university excursions. He is fluent in Arabic, English and also speaks some German.

Mohammed Al Fahdi studied geology at the Sultan Qaboos University and for eight years he has worked for PDO; the largest Omani crude oil company. He is well known among Omani geologists. Mohammed supports GJT during geological tours and student excursions. He speaks Arabic and English.

Jafaar Al Toubi is one of GJT’s Management staff and also a German speaking tour guide and expert for service quality. He completed his tourism studies at the University of Nizwa in 2009. Prior to this he attended the Oman Tourism College. Jafaar also studied for nine months in India and for several months undertook professional training in the hotel industry in Germany gaining wide experience in service and quality management. Jafaar speaks Arabic, English and some German.

Henning Schwarze is GJT’s expert for sustainable tourism development. Henning studied Geography at the University of Paderborn (Germany). He is the managing partner of INTEWO | World Habitat Society GmbH, GJT’s associate sister company. Henning is working on the Arabian Peninsula since 1999. He is experienced in Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Since more then ten years Henning is working as a consultant to UNESCO, supporting in sustainable tourism, environmental education, World Heritage and protected areas projects.

Gayan Perera ( Manager Tour Operations and Business Development) completed his first degree in Business Administration (B.B.A Special) at the University of Ruhuna Sri Lanka. He has many years of experience in Tourism Promotion and Destination Marketing and he has worked for Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, The National Tourism organization of Sri Lanka, as the Officer In Charge for Middle East Region.
