Cultural highlights | 5 days

Day 1:

Start the tour at 8.00 am in Muscat, we proceed to northern area through the magical mountains up to Barkah City. Visit the traditional market and Barkah Fort. Moving to Nakhal and visit Nakhal Fort. Drive off-road until we reach Wadi Bani Awf, a beautiful wadi with plenty of spots for great pictures. Thereafter, visit the village of Bilad Sayt, a mountain village set on a stunning point of view. Head off to WadiGhul, a spectacular deep canyon in the mountain range out of which rises Jabel Shams, the highest point in Oman at over 3,000m. Jabel Shams, the mountain of the sun, is home to weavers of heavy woolen rugs in distinctive red, black and brown geometric designs. Along the steep and windy road leading to the top of the mountain, you will discover small villages hiding within the mountains rocks like Masfat Al Abryeen. Overnightstay at Jabal Shams Resort.B/D. Day 2: 

After breakfast, Drive on further to reach Bahla, the ancient, walled town famous for its pottery and a Fort which is a UNESCO world heritage site. You can then visit Jabrin which has possibly the finest castle built in Oman – that was once also used as a University. Thereafter, drive to Nizwa which is the former capital of Oman and visit Nizwa Fort and Souq,; Nizwa is definitely a place to be explored. Points of interest are its majesticForts and the silver souq which is famous for silver souvenirs. Visit Barkat Al Mawz for old irrigation system and return to Nizwa. Overnight stay at Al Diyar Hotel in Nizwa (Breakfast will be provided)

Day 3: 

After Breakfast, proceed to Wahiba Sands. En route visit Ibra village and have an experience their life style and thereafter visit to Bedouin family living in the desert. Lunch with them and proceed to 1000 Nights Camp where you will be able to experience the night under the stars. Overnight stay at 1000 Nights Camp (40 Kms in the desert). (Dinner and breakfast will be provided)

Day 4: 

After breakfast, proceed toSur through Wahiba Sand. En route visit Wadi Bhani Khalid Visit ancient port and seafaring town which once played a major part in the trade between Oman, East Africa and India. It started its trading activities with the African coast as early as the 6th century. A walk through its labyrinth of streets reveals many fine old houses with carved doors and arabesque windows and fishing dhows in the harbor. Overnight Stay at Sur Beach Hotel. (Breakfast will be provided)

Day 5: 

After breakfast, return to Muscat through the Coastal road.En route visit, Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Fins, Bimah Sink Hole, Stop at the White beach on the turquoise water of the gulf of Oman. Continue to Muscat.
